100 Happy Days!

Via a friend I came across 100 Happy Days: a challenge where you show for 100 consecutive days pictures what made you happy that day.

When was the last time you consciously took a picture of a moment that made you happy? When you enjoyed the moment you are in? When you just sat back, with a smile on your face, loving life, living in the moment? Being able to appreciate the moment, the environment and yourself in it, is the foundation of long term happiness of any human being.

How does 100 Happy Days work? Plain simple! First you register in the challenge on 100happydays.com. Then you share your happy moment of your day via Facebook, Twitter or Instagram with a public hashtag (#100happydays), your own hashtag, or simply send the pictures to myhappyday@100happydays.com.

1554532_531224223658158_1056874027_n‘So every day submit a picture of what made you happy! It can be from a meet-up with a friend to a very tasty cake in the nearby coffee place, from a feeling of being at home after a hard day to a favor you did to a stranger. Just remember, this challenge is for you, not for anyone else. It’s not a competition or showing off contest. If you try to please / make others jealous via your pictures – you lose without even starting. Same goes for cheating.’

People successfully completing the challenge claimed to:
– Start noticing what makes them happy every day;
– Be in a better mood every day;
– Start receiving more compliments from other people;
– Realize how lucky they are to have the life they have;
– Become more optimistic;
– Fall in love during the challenge.

And when the challenge is over, your collected 100 happy moments can always remind you about the beauty of your life.

Verily 12And you? Can you be happy for 100 days in a row? Think you don’t have time for that? 71% of people tried to complete this challenge, but failed quoting lack of time as the main reason. These people simpy did not have time to be happy. But trust me: it’s easier than you think!

I just started yesterday and already I feel I am more aware of all the little things in my life that make me happy. It’s just past noon here and I already wonder which of the things makes me the happiest today, there are too many to chose from!
